In Honor of Bob Pruitt

The Pruitt Fund for the Arts was created by Nick Pruitt-Ward in memory of his grandfather, Robert F. “Bob” Pruitt. Bob’s service with Marion Laboratories and the Kansas City Royals, and his devotion to the city’s jazz and choral traditions, reflected a deep commitment to Kansas City and the people who call it home.

The fund honors that commitment by widening access to the arts. Each year, it provides steady grants to artists, ensembles, and organizations that bring music, performance, and arts education to more Kansas Citians, especially those who might not otherwise have the chance.
